House of Senco Store Launch: Senco Gold Expands North Bengal Presence

The Indian retail jewellery landscape continues to evolve, with legacy brands aggressively expanding their physical footprints to cater to diverse consumer demographics. Senco Gold Limited, a prominent name in the industry, has taken another significant step in this direction by strengthening its presence in North Bengal.

The company has officially inaugurated a new retail outlet in Siliguri, introducing the House of Senco concept to the region. This launch marks a pivotal moment for the brand, as it deepens its engagement with the local market and reinforces its commitment to accessibility and variety.

What is the House of Senco Concept?

The House of Senco retail format is designed as a comprehensive jewellery destination. Unlike traditional showrooms that might focus on a singular product line, this format serves as a curated hub that brings multiple sub-brands under one roof.

Spread across approximately 581 square feet, the new store at City Centre Siliguri is tailored to be a one-stop-shop for jewellery enthusiasts. It effectively consolidates Senco Gold’s specialized product lines, offering a seamless experience that caters to different price points, occasions, and individual aesthetics.

One of the primary benefits of visiting a House of Senco location is the exposure to a diversified portfolio. The Siliguri outlet showcases a broad spectrum of jewellery, ranging from traditional designs to modern, innovation-led creations.

Visitors to the store can explore several distinct sub-brands, each with its own identity:

  • Everlite: Perfect for the contemporary consumer, this brand specializes in everyday fine jewellery that balances style with wearability.
  • Aham: Specifically tailored to address the growing demand for men’s jewellery, offering sophisticated pieces that redefine masculine style.
  • Sennes: A forward-thinking label that focuses on lab-grown diamond jewellery, appealing to modern buyers who value design-led, sustainable luxury.

In addition to these sub-brands, the store features extensive collections in 9KT, 14KT, and 18KT gold, diamond, and platinum, ensuring there is something for every occasion—from gifting to bridal requirements.

Strategic Significance of the Siliguri Market

Siliguri has emerged as a high-growth market in North Bengal, serving as a gateway for the surrounding districts. By launching the third store in the city, Senco Gold is leveraging the strong consumer trust it has built over the years.

According to Suvankar Sen, MD & CEO of Senco Gold Limited, the expansion is driven by consumer demand across various jewellery segments. He noted that the House of Senco reflects a broader strategy to cater to distinct consumer needs through a diversified portfolio. By bringing these specialized brands together, the company aims to offer customers a more comprehensive jewellery experience that goes beyond traditional buying patterns.

A Design-Led Approach to Jewellery

The philosophy behind the House of Senco is deeply rooted in the concept of distinct brand identities. Joita Sen, Director and Head of Marketing and Design at Senco Gold Limited, highlights that each brand within the house serves a unique consumer mindset.

While the flagship Senco brand remains committed to timeless craftsmanship and heritage, the sub-brands are engineered to capture different market segments. From Everlite’s focus on everyday elegance to Sennes’ reimagining of luxury, the strategy is clear: provide a wide spectrum of styles. Whether customers are looking for traditional favourites or modern, versatile pieces, the store is designed to align with various personalities and preferences.

Growth Trajectory and National Footprint

The inauguration of this store was a collaborative event, attended by key stakeholders, including Yogesh Pradhan, Mall Manager of City Centre Siliguri, and the company’s regional management teams.

This store opening is part of a larger national expansion plan. With this latest addition, Senco Gold now operates 81 stores across West Bengal alone. On a national level, the brand has successfully scaled its operations to include more than 198 showrooms across 17 states in India, complemented by an international presence with two outlets in Dubai.

As the retail landscape becomes increasingly competitive, the House of Senco model stands out as a strategic move to capture market share by offering choice, convenience, and a high-quality customer experience. By focusing on both traditional retail excellence and modern, innovation-led sub-brands, Senco Gold is well-positioned to maintain its momentum in the Indian jewellery industry.
